This July, Valletta comes alive with the Malta International Dance Festival — one of the most exciting cultural events of the summer. And whether you’re attending a show, passing through the city, or just in the mood to soak up the energy, we’ve got the perfect pairing: dance, Spanish wine, and tapas that move the soul.
🎭 What is the Malta Dance Festival?
The Malta International Dance Festival 2025 takes place from July 24 to 27, bringing together dancers, choreographers and companies from around the world. Expect contemporary ballet, urban styles, traditional and experimental performances — Valletta becomes a living, breathing stage.
Valletta by Day, Tapas by Night
After a powerful show at Teatru Manoel, St. George’s Square, or Valletta Campus Theatre, you’ll be ready to wind down and refuel. Iber&Co is just a short walk from the festival venues. Here’s a perfect plan:
🩰 7:00 PM – Dance performance
🍷 9:00 PM – Wine & tapas at Iber&Co
🎶 11:00 PM – Some dancing in our taberna…
What to Order After the Festival?
Our menu is designed for sharing. Here are some favorites for post-performance bites:
- 🧀 Iberian ham and Manchego cheese board
- 🥔 Spanish tortilla & jamón croquettes
- 🫒 Marinated olives, tomato bread & EVOO
- 🍷 A glass of Rioja or chilled Albariño

And If the Music Keeps Going… So Do We
Some nights — especially after a great show and a few glasses of wine — someone puts on a Sevillana or a rumba. It’s not on the festival program, but it happens. At Iber&Co, the night doesn’t always end with the last dish… sometimes it ends with clapping, laughter and dancing.
