On 27 April, Malta was filled with ham, laughter, wine and a lot of Spanish soul. This is how the inauguration of Casa Pepa, the new Iber&Co corner in Naxxar dedicated to the authentic flavours of Spain, was experienced. Spoiler: it was a great party. And yes, if you didn’t come, you missed it.
🏠 Casa Pepa: more than a shop, a piece of home
Casa Pepa was born as a natural extension of Iber&Co, with the same essence of proximity and tradition, but with a special focus: to bring authentic Iberian products, selected, without posturing. Sausages, wines, cheeses, preserves and all those things you know you miss if you have lived in Spain (or if you have ever had good taste).
🍷 This was the inauguration: wine, music and lots of tapas
We opened in style, as tradition dictates. From 12:00 to 17:00, the street was filled with people, music, the smell of freshly cut ham and drinks toasting to what is to come.
There was everything:
- Tasting of carefully selected Spanish wines.
- Tasting of Iberian tapas: ham, Manchego cheese, bread with tomato and more.
- Paella, laughter, toasts and spontaneous ‘¡olé!
- A great atmosphere that seemed to be taken from an Andalusian square.
